Answering some FAQs

Do you have a question about our process? We’re answering some of your most common FAQs here. Read on below!

1. How much do your interior design services cost?

We start every project with a 2-hour Kick-Start Consultation for $475. Which means that if you’re just looking for a few suggestions before moving forward on your own, that’s the total amount you’ll pay! If you need additional help after the consultation, we work on an hourly basis at $200/hour. Your total fees will depend on the scope of your project, but we’ll give you a realistic design fee estimate based on past projects with a similar scope. Most estimates fall between 10 & 30 hours per room, depending on the size and type of project.

 

2. Do you only design projects that fit your brand?

We’ll happily design in styles outside of our brand aesthetic. In fact, our Principal Designer, Leah, has been trained to design in many different styles, ranging from transitional to contemporary and everything in between. We tailor every project to fit our clients’ personal styles, rather than our own. If you happen to be drawn to the same styles we love, that’s just an added bonus!

3. Do you remodel?

We’d love to design your remodel for you! Although we aren’t licensed contractors (meaning we can’t actually DO the construction work for you), we’re happy to create plans for your contractors to use during your project. We love to make site visits throughout the project to make sure the contractors are implementing everything as designed, and we’re on call in case they have questions during construction. While we can’t hire the crew for you, we do have some favorite contractor teams we love to work with, and we’re happy to coordinate the bidding and construction process with them on your behalf!

 

4. Do you get discounts on furniture?

Yes! We have wholesale accounts with many furniture manufacturers, as well as smaller trade discounts with many of the popular furniture retailers. If you sign a contract with us, we split our discounts with you 50/50, as long as we get more than 20% off. That means that if we get a 50% discount, you’ll get 25% off the suggested retail price when you order through us! Plus, you’ll have access to TONS of furniture options that aren’t available to the general public.

5. What are your qualifications?

Our Principal Designer, Leah, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design from UC Davis. After graduation, she worked as a freelance design assistant for several prominent designers in the Sacramento area. One of those designers offered her a full-time role, where she stayed and gained experience for over five years, eventually moving into a lead designer and project manager role. In 2019, she passed the IDEX exam, becoming a Certified Interior Designer in the State of California. Leah is a LEED Green Associate and studying to become a WELL Accredited Professional.
