The Kick-Start Consultation
Have you been thinking about starting a remodel or new-build project? Or maybe you’re looking to re-furnish your home, but you’re not sure where to start? Our Kick-Start Consultation is the perfect way to get your project headed in the right direction, especially if you’re located in the Sacramento Area. And it just so happens to be one of our favorite parts of the entire design process!
Here’s how it works:
1. Site Visit
We’ll come out to your house for up to two hours for a flat fee of $475, and we’ll start by having you give us a tour of the rooms you need help with. As we walk through, we’ll start coming up with some specific suggestions for improvement for each space, and we can even sketch some layout ideas as we go.

2. Design Style
After we finish the tour, it’s time for the pretty stuff! We’ll pull out samples of tiles, countertops, paint colors, and fabrics to look at with you, and see which materials speak to you. This helps us create a basic color palette, and serves as a great brainstorming session for the overall look and feel of your project. We’ll also look at some images of several different design styles so that we can define the ideal style for your space. It’s so important to have the right keywords to use when searching for items to use in your home, and knowing your style will make all the difference.
3. Process Review
Once we have a good handle on the scope of the project and a good direction for the design concept, we’ll take a few minutes to review our contract with you, and make sure you understand how our process will work moving forward. If you have any questions, we’ll make sure to answer them so that we’re on the same page before we move forward. Following the meeting, we’ll send you a detailed consultation summary (including any sketches we drew), as well as an estimate for design fees to complete your project, based on past projects with a similar scope.
