An Arden-Arcade Living Room

This Arden-Arcade living room is an earthy indoor jungle and a breath of fresh air as you enter the home, located in Del Paso Manor, Sacramento. The handwoven Berber rug, which we picked up on a trip to Morocco, acts as a colorful centerpiece. A neutral, midcentury modern sofa and solid wood coffee table ground the space, and some pillows (also from Morocco) tie in the colors of the rug. A creamy, boucle accent chair completes the conversation space in the corner of the room.

We also took advantage of the light from the large front windows and previously installed full-height mirrors, and decided to hang some plants in the corner, above the chair. The rich, forest green wall color complements the leafy plants all around. And the woven window shades add a warmth and softness to the space. It’s a living room that encourages its occupants to flourish. We thoroughly enjoyed bringing this modern, bohemian room to life and filling it with color and texture.
