Transitional Retreat

A South Land Park Bedroom

This South Land Park bedroom was in need of a cosmetic facelift using some existing pieces of furniture. We added a teal accent wall behind the bed, some crisp, white linen bedding, and some midcentury modern nightstands and a matching dresser to spruce up the space. Plus, the client had previously purchased a transitional, cream armchair that wasn’t getting good use elsewhere in the house, so we moved it into the bedroom to create a cozy reading nook. We even swapped out the cabinet hardware on some existing white dressers to make them coordinate better with the overall design style.

The wall-to-wall carpet didn’t deter us from adding a patterned area rug, it’s an easy way to add another element of style. To top it off, we added some highly textured throw pillows and hung some modern art pieces on the walls to complement the more traditional bedside lamps the client already owned. Now, this space is an eclectic balance of traditional and modern elements, allowing our clients to fully enjoy spending time in their refreshed retreat.
