This spacious home in Lodi had several 90s-time-capsule bathrooms, all of which needed a complete overhaul. We tackled the primary bathroom first, followed by two kids’ bathrooms, a guest bathroom, two powder rooms, and a pool bathroom. After almost two full years of construction work, we’re so excited to show the end results!
The clients’ love of art deco design set the tone for all of the rooms in the house. We incorporated plenty of metallic finishes, glam textures, and arched details to give the bathrooms a sense of modern luxury with a nod to the 1920s. The deep, teal cabinet color in the primary bathroom echoes the custom wallpaper we designed for the two water closets. A stunning marble and mother-of-pearl mosaic shower tile complements the handmade arched backsplash tiles from Fireclay Tile. And a dramatic freestanding tub and chandelier combination serves as the centerpiece for the room.
In the boy’s bathroom, we opted for a few more masculine touches, with a textured black shower tile and copper backsplash. And in the girl’s room we went for a fun and feminine vibe; the walls are covered in blush pink tiles, and we chose a luxury vinyl floor to add warmth. The guest bathroom is a small but high-impact space, with a teal shower and a gold patterned wallpaper above the custom wainscoting.
Each of the bathrooms we designed has its own unique combination of materials and textures. However, we kept them cohesive by incorporating a few of the same details throughout. In each room, you’ll find some combination of brushed gold fixtures, herringbone tiles, and deep teal accents. Finally, it’s out with the 90s and in with the 20s (2020s AND 1920s!). Our clients love their newly remodeled bathrooms, and so do we!
