Design Project Reveal: Neutral Nest
As a designer, I often get asked – do you design outside of your style?
The answer is: absolutely. I love creating spaces that feel like home to my clients, and sometimes, that means they aren’t as modern or eclectic as most of the projects in my portfolio. When that happens, I don’t usually pay for professional photographs, but I ALWAYS document it on my phone.
Such is the case with this project, the Neutral Nest, which I completed as lead designer at Rebecca Ward Design. I would define the client’s style as transitional. They already had a tile floor and stone fireplace, so I brought in some cozy, neutral furniture to make the space feel inviting. I really love the way it turned out! Bold colors are my usual go-to, but I’m a sucker for an all-neutral space full of texture. Plus, the client loves plants, which is always a bonus in my book.
