Top 7 Places to Shop Local for Holiday Gifts in Sacramento

It’s that time of year again… I’m already starting my holiday gift shopping – maybe it’s a little early, but supply chain issues have been rough this year and I don’t want to risk long delays! Plus, I love to shop local & shop small, which can take a little bit of planning.

I’ve rounded up my top 7 favorite spots to shop in Sacramento. Take a look!

1. Sacramento Antique Faire

I LOVE visiting this monthly antique faire. It’s the perfect place to find unique trinkets, home decor, and vintage clothing, all from local vendors. The next one (and last one for the year) will be on December 11th.

2. Nudge Eco Store

This little shop on 18th Street in midtown is one of the best places to find sustainable kitchen and bathroom products, including make-up and self-care items. Many of their products are locally made, like the hand soap bundle in the photo above. Plus, the shop owners are so sweet and helpful!

3. Good News Wine

If you’re on the hunt for a great bottle of wine or some ingredients to build a charcuterie gift basket, this is the spot. Devin and I love hanging out at Good News, and their marketplace is tough to beat. They have a variety of natural wines, high quality cheeses, meats, olives, chocolates, and so many other yummy things!

4. Sac City Stems

For the plant lover in your life. Stop by right after one of their restock days for some of the healthiest houseplants in the Sacramento area! And they have some beautiful handmade pots, too.

5. Ginger Elizabeth

By far some of the best tasting chocolates & macarons I’ve had. This is a great place to visit if you need a box of chocolates or small baked goods to bring to a holiday party! Their hot chocolate is delicious, too.

6. Black Lily Naturals

I’ve been a loyal fan of Chandra’s home fragrances & body care products since 2020, and she has yet to disappoint! She has some of the most creative and delicious candle scents, and I will most definitely be gifting some of her products to friends & family again this year. Check out her stand at the Midtown Farmers Market on Saturday mornings!

7. Faria Bakery

Not only is this one of my favorite places to grab a pastry on a weekend morning, but they also have some of the most delicious bread in the Sacramento area. They have a bread subscription program that would make an amazing holiday gift! And they even have baking classes for that friend who loves to learn new baking techniques.

Bonus: Studio Connolly

Don’t forget that I also offer gift certificates for my design services! All you have to do is contact me here and let me know how much you’d like to put on a certificate. I love it when my services are gifted to others!

Shop local & enjoy the holidays!
